Guest QR: guests pay on their phone

1. Open Restaurant Profile

   Sign in to Kaday POS as an admin, owner or manager. Open Restaurant Profile and find the payments section.

2. Set up payouts

   Choose Set up payouts. You’ll finish Stripe’s onboarding in the browser — business details and bank account. Come back to Kaday when Stripe says you’re done; the profile shows Connected.

3. Take a Guest QR payment

   On the table, open Pay / Settle, choose Card, then Guest QR. The guest scans the code and pays by card on their own phone. Money goes to your connected Stripe account.

4. Close the table

   Once it shows paid, choose Close Table so the floor is clear for the next party.

Using your own card reader

Already have SumUp, or any other card terminal? Keep using it. Kaday doesn’t connect to the reader — you take the card on it as normal, then record the payment in Kaday.

1. Take the card on your reader

   Enter the amount on your SumUp or other terminal and let the guest pay as usual.

2. Mark the bill paid in Kaday

   On the table, open Pay / Settle and choose Card. If Stripe is connected, pick Your card reader. Add the tip if there was one, check the total matches what the reader took, then choose Mark as paid.

3. Close the table

   Choose Close Table as usual.

The money settles through your reader provider, not through Kaday, and no Stripe setup is needed for it. Kaday records the payment against the bill, and the receipt shows it as Card (reader).
